What should you expect in a home inspection?
An inspection is a limited visual inspection of readily accessible components throughout the building and testing equipment and fixtures using normal operating controls.
Our inspections begin with the exterior, inspecting the exterior finishing systems, doors, windows, and accompanying components. We will inspect the grounds surrounding the building and review the roof coverings, chimney, flashing, gutters, and down spouts. Next, we will move to the interior, inspecting the floors, wall coverings, ceilings, outlets, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, drains, tubs, toilets, showers and fireplaces. We will then test and inspect the heating/cooling system, plumbing system, electrical system and main panel box. Next, we will enter the attic to inspect the framing, insulation and accessible wiring. Then we will inspect the accessible foundation area walls, framing, plumbing and accessible wiring.
